The GR1 ‘Design aspects’ module offers an introduction to design aspects via the basic concepts of situation, space, use and material. The module focuses on learning to understand physical-spatial relationships through the analysis of a coherent ensemble of house and garden in relation to the (urban) landscape. The student learns methods for the description and recording in drawing of the spatial design on the basis of various design aspects. In working groups, texts are discussed and planning analyzes are made by drawing floor plans, cross sections and facades. The student also gains insight into the development of urban planning, landscape architecture and architecture until the fifteenth century, partly on the basis of the basic concepts.
